Yin Yoga Classes

Yin Yoga is a quiet, meditative practice that focuses on stillness and longevity in its poses. It is the perfect complement to active (Yang) yoga practices and creates balance between the body and mind, imparting a rested and peaceful state of being. Poses are held for 3 to 5 minutes, which allows time for the connective tissue (fascia) to soften and expand, increasing flexibility and range of motion.

Postures are primarily taken on the floor, either seated or lying down. The use of bolsters, blankets and blocks makes this practice accessible to everyone. Modifications to poses are provided.
